Doctor of Philosophy Program in Agricultural Extension and Development

  Applicant Qualifications
 
1.
Hold a masterís degree in agricultural extension, agricultural development, a field related to agriculture, or others from a university or higher educational institution accredited by Office of the Higher Education Commission;
 
2.
Have work experience related to agricultural extension, agricultural development or other agricultural fields at least three years;
 
3.
Have a grade point average for the masterís degree of 3.50 or higher; and
 
4.

Pass English language test as specified by the School of Agricultural and Cooperatives and approved by the Graduate Committees of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, the test score should not be over two years until the date of application.

 

  Note:   1. Applicants who have completed a masterís degree in another field that is not agricultural extension or agricultural development will be required to take additional course as specified by the university.
 

            2. Applicants with a masterís degree grade point average of less than 3.50, may still be accepted for admission after consideration of working experience and may be required to take additional courses as specified by the university.

              3. Applicants who meet the above requirements, should not have any diseases which affect their study, and must not have been expelled from another university for misbehavior.

Hold a bachelorís degree in agricultural extension, agricultural development, a field related to agriculture, or others from a higher educational institution accredited by Office of the Higher Education Commission;
 
2.
Have work experience related to agricultural extension, agricultural development or other agricultural fields at least one years; and
 
3.

Have a grade point average for the bachelorís degree of 2.50 or higher.

 

  Note:  1. Applicants who have completed a bachelorís degree in another field that is not agricultural extension or agricultural development will be required to take a course of 91720 Agricultural Extension for Development, in addition to the program.
 

            2. Applicants with a bachelorís degree grade point average of less than 2.50, may be accepted for admission after consideration of working experience as specified by the university.

              3. Applicants who meet the above requirements, should not have any diseases which affect their study, and must not have been expelled from another university for misbehavior.

1.
A bachelorís degree in an agriculture-related field or another field, and
 
2.

A grade point average of no less than 2.50 at the bachelorís degree level.

 

  Note:     1. Applicants who have completed a bachelorís degree in another field that is not agriculture will be required to take an additional course, course number 95720 Agriculture for Resources Management.
 
               2. Applicants who meet the qualification for number one but had a grade point average of less than 2.50 may still be accepted depending on their experience; it is up to the decision of the Graduate Studies Committee of the School of Agricultural Extension and Cooperatives.
                 3. Applicants who meet qualifications number 1 and 2 must also not have any disease that will impair their ability to complete the study program and must not have been expelled from the university due to bad conduct, unless the bad conduct was unintentional or due to negligence or was a misdemeanor, in which case the applicant may re-apply 5 years after being expelled as long as the academic council approves it.

A bachelorís degree or its equivalent from other universities or higher education institutions recognized by University Council; and

 
2.

Grade point average for a bachelorís degree of 2.30 or higher.

 

  Note:   Those qualified from item 1-2 but having a GPA of less than 2.30 may be allowed to enroll by the Graduate Studies Commiltee.
