Daranee: | What did you do last summer? |
Patty: | Well, I always like to travel (to, towards, after) Italy (in, at, on) summer because (from, by, of) the weather and the people there. So, last summer I went (into, to, along) Italy once again, but this time I had such an exciting experience, especially (for, in, on) my first day (in, of, at) Rome. |
Daranee: | Tell me what happened (to, at, about) you? |
Patty: | Well, I took a plane (in, for, from) Bangkok to Rome. |
Daranee: | Did somebody pick you up (by, at, in) the airport? |
Patty: | No. (From, Behind, Away) the airport we went (for, to, from) our hotel (by, along, at) bus. |
Daranee: | Was your hotel far (into, between, from) the airport? |
Patty: | Yes, it was a bit far. So we stopped (at, up, between) one of the rest areas (by, on, near) the way (on top of, out of, for) toilets. Some of the passengersalso went (above, into, between) a small restaurant (for, through, underneath) a quick meal. When we were all ready to get back onto the bus, we couldn’t find it (in front of, in the middle of, with) the restaurant where the bus driver actually dropped us. So we thought that we were all left behind. |
Daranee: | Really? |
Patty: | Oh, yes. Nobody could find the bus or the driver, so we waited outside the restaurant (for, in, during) about one hour. |
Daranee: | Could you finally find the bus? |
Patty: | Of course. The driver had actually moved the bus and parked it (below, behind, over) the restaurant before walking (opposite, next to, through) the small park (near, down, above) the restaurant. We did not know and were all very angry (along, to, with) him. |
Daranee: | At least, it’s a happy ending; you weren’t left behind (through, in the middle of, on top of) nowhere. |
Patty: | I guess you’re right. My holidays were great after all. I went from place (to, in, by) place, met many new interesting people, and learned (at, about, up) so many things. I even had a chance to sit around campfires and dance till the early morning. |
Daranee: | Lucky you! I’m so envious! |
