Sleep Yourself Well

2. Good sleep is vital to our well-being just as healthy eating and exercise.
    It’s often the first casualty in today’s hectic world.
   
3. We have become so much busier these days.
    There’s always something seemingly better to do than sleep.
   
4. Decent sleep will be better for our health than diet or exercise.
    It is the foundation on which to build a good, healthy, happy life.
   
5. Poor sleep has been linked to increases in diabetes, heart disease, and depression.
    Sleeping six hours or less a night has been shown to increase mortality.
   
6. Sleep is when muscle stress that has occurred during exercise is repaired.
    Lack of sleep means lack of repairs.
   
7. What’s important with sleep is that you get the amount you need.
    Anywhere between three and 11 hours can be considered normal.
   
8. For some people sleep deprivation is almost a lifestyle.
    For many it’s the result of stress.
   
9. You should do something that relaxes your mind before you go to bed.
    You can easily become sound asleep.
   
10. Suggestions for relaxing your mind include the obvious ones of reading a book and listening to music.
     You can simply think about nice things that aren’t connected with work.
