MOU - Yunnan Radio and TV University

On 1 September 2011, STOU welcomed a teacher and 24 students from Yunnan Radio and TV University, located in the People’s
Republic of China. The International Affairs Unit, Office of Continuing Education, and School of Liberal Arts planned a three-month
program of Thai language and culture instruction. Unfortunately the visit was cut short by the threat of flooding at STOU, but the
delegation from YNRTVU was still able to spend almost two months in the country getting to know Thai language and STOU.
After being welcomed at Suvarnabhumi Airport, the students were brought to STOU. The first day of the program featured an
orientation session for the delegation and a welcome dinner.

Below, the group is seen visiting the Office of Documentation and Information, as well as the Educational Broadcast Production
Center. The delegation was also able to attend the flower and ornamental plant exhibition held in honor of His Majesty the King’s
approaching 7th cycle birthday (84th birthday).

They also had an opportunity to learn about Thai art and culture firsthand when they visited the Temple of the Emerald Buddha
and the National Museum. These visits helped them increase their understanding of Thailand’s society and way of life.
