In September 2013, STOU hosted two visiting scholars, Ms. Mira Aryani of Universitas Terbuka and Ms. Wu Lina of Beijing Open University, who received AAOU Inter-University Staff Exchange Fellowships. The two researchers were welcomed on 9 September in a ceremony presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Vipa Jaroenpuntaruk, Vice-President for Information Technology. The AAOU Inter-University Staff Exchange Fellowships fellowships are offered by participating institutional members of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU). The objective of STOU’s fellowships this year was to solicit advice on the development of ICT instructional media. During this exchange program, recipients worked with STOU faculty and staff from the School of Communication Arts and the Office of Educational Technology to explore possibilities for STOU distance learning media in the future.
