On 27-31 October 2014, STOU administrator led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open Unversity, together with 28 STOU administrators and staff, attended the 28th  Annual Conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU2014) under theme “Advancing Open and Distance Learning: Research and Practices”, hosted by the Open University of Hong Kong (OUHK), Hong Kong.

Moreover, in the morning of 28 October 2014, STOU administrators made an official visit to HKU SPACE Learning Center at Admiralty Learning Centre of the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong (HKU), where Prof. Stephen Andrews, Dean of the HKU Faculty of Education, gave warm welcome. This visit was aimed at gaining new knowledge and exchanging useful information and experiences on educational services with HKU staff.  In addition, Dr. Daniel Churchill gave a special lecture on “Higher Education in the 21st Century: Transformation of Teaching and Learning through Effective Curriculum Design, Learning-Centered Pedagogy and Technology Integration”.
