On 10 February 2016, Asst. Dr. Monwipa Wongrujira, Assistant to the President and Mrs. Rattip Phukkeson, Acting Head of International Affairs, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University warmly welcomed the 3 delegates from Sherubtse College of Royal University of Bhutan led by Mr. Tshering Wangdi, Director of Sherubtse College, on the occasion of their visit to Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University to acquire knowledge on how to plan and organize online distance education programs.

At the beginning, the delegation visited the Educational Broadcasting Production Center and the King Prajadhipok and Queen Rambhai Barni Documentation Center where they exchanged information and experiences with STOU staff. Later, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Walaiwad Rodchompoo from the Office of Educational Technology, gave a special lecture on “STOU: Online Learning” and Ms. Nonglak Madwangseang, Senior Graphic Designer from e-Learning Centre, welcomed the delegation to observe the operation of the STOU e-Learning Center. The visit enabled them to share and exchange the views and experiences with the STOU staff regarding online learning system and course delivery process for developing their plan for starting an online distance learning programs at Sherubtse College.
