On 24-25 February 2015, STOU administrator led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, together with 9 STOU administrators, faculty members and staff, attended the International Symposium on ASEAN Studies (ISAS2015) under theme “Our ASEAN: Cultivating the field”, hosted by the University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), Philippines.

Moreover, in the morning of 25 February 2015, the OU5 Presidents had a parallel meeting in the topics of offering the ASEAN Studies as MOOCs, enhancement of the ASEAN Studies website and other collaborative endeavors as well as the meeting of the OU5 Collaborative Research Teams was arranged to follow up the proposal results.

In addition, in the afternoon of 26 February 2015, the Head of STOU International Affairs as a representative of STOU made an official visit to the University of Batangas (UB), where Dr. Hernando B. Perez, the University President, and the University Administrators, gave warm welcome. This visit was aimed at discussing potential collaborative activities under the MOU as well as to strengthen the relationship which exist between our universities. The meeting result was the arrangement of exchange programs on “Cultural and Academic Training Program” for senior administrators, academic staff and university personnel.
