On Wednesday, 8 January 2014, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University, and Pol. Col. Suchart Wongananchai, Director General of the Department of Corrections at the Ministry of Justice, signed a memorandum of understanding at the Sam-Sorn Meeting Room in the Anek Nitat Building at STOU. The MOU formalized the two organization’s intent to provide educational opportunities at graduate level for prisoners, and improve libraries and STOU corners in prisons across the country.
