On 14 February 2014, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, President of Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University and Mr. Viraphan Rasphone, Director of Savan Institute of Management (SIM) represented in the MOU signing ceremony at SIM in Savannakhet, Lao People's Democratic Republic. In addition, Asst. Prof. Orasa Pankhao, Vice-President for Corporate Communications and International Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Monwipa Wongrujira, Assistant to the President, Mr. Sun Annannab, Director of the Office of Educational Services, Mr. Sompong Lomaratana, Director of the Regional Distance Education Center (Ubonratchathani), and Mrs. Rattip Phukkeson, Acting Head of International Affairs at STOU, and Mr. Kuli Sorsingvien, Head of the Department of Technical and Vocational Education in Savannakhet Province, jointly witnessed the ceremony at the SIM. From this MOU, STOU and SIM will cooperate with each other in faculty member and student exchange, teaching media and educational opportunity expansion.
