Further to the OU5 meeting and MOA signing ceremony on Master Studies Program in Chiang Mai in May 2014, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University was once again honored to host the OU5 meeting during 24-25 November 2014. The OU5 includes Open University Malaysia (OUM), Universitas Terbuka (UT), University of the Philippines Open University (UPOU), Hanoi Open University (HOU) and Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU).

The activities included a presentation on the management of Master’s degree program on ASEAN Studies: UPOU experience by Dr. Jean Saludadez, Vice-President for Finance Affairs and Dr. Melinda Lumanta, Vice-President for Academic Affairs of University of the Philippines Open University, two groups of OU5 meeting for research in the topics of an institutional research on importance-satisfaction survey and an ASEAN research on comparative study of educational policies among ASEAN countries, as well as the meeting for ASEAN Journal of Open and Distance Learning (AJODL). Besides the presentation and meeting, STOU also gave  a welcome dinner with great performances and organized a cultural trip to Ayutthaya Historical Park for all delegates.
