During 2-3 December 2013, STOU hosted the Annual Meeting of Research Network 4 of Lifelong Learning Hub at meeting room 5209 in seminar building 1 at Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University. Besides 20 representatives from the Ministry of Education from Asia and Europe attending  the conference, participants also included representatives from both state and private universities and non-formal education institutes, and professors from the STOU School of Educational Studies. This conference provided the opportunities to exchange knowledge, discuss current developments, and share ideas on evidence-based educational reform and innovation.

The ASEM Education and Research Hub for Lifelong Learning is an official network for university cooperation in Lifelong Learning Research between Asia and Europe. The Hub creates a platform for dialogue between researchers and educational policy makers not only to conduct research on lifelong learning, but also to produce publications and reports.
