Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University organized a staff training program on management policies and practices in ODL for the Open University of Sri Lanka (OUSL) from Sri Lanka during 22-26 April 2015. This program has been initiated under the Memorandum of Understanding between STOU and OUSL.

The program included lectures on “Student Admission, Registration, and Evaluation”, “Curriculum Design and Course Production”, “Policies, Planning, Human Resource and Budget Management”, “Public Relations”, “Library Services at STOU”, “Supplementary Media, Production of Educational Radio & TV Programs and E-learning’, “Printing Planning and Preparation”, “Student Support Services”, and “STOU Regional Distance Education Center”. The purpose of the program was to exchange the academic knowledge and share experiences in distance education as well as to provide Thai culture experience by going on field trip at the Grand Palace and the Emerald Buddha in Bangkok.
