On 5 August 2013, Prof. Yoichi Okabe, President of the Open University of Japan, met with Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chailerd Pichitpornchai, President of STOU, to exchange views and discuss relations, which were formalized in an MOU signed last year. STOU administrators and staff assisted Dr. Chailerd in welcoming the visiting President.
