Objectives

1. A paragraph contains one main idea.
   
2. A topic sentence may be at the beginning, middle, or end in a paragraph.
   
3. In a narrative, there may be no obvious topic sentence, but there is a topic or main idea of such paragraph.
   
4. Reading legal documents, we must know the format of the documents and the technical terms.

2. identify the topic  or topic sentence of a paragraph.
   
3. explain the meaning of essential legal terms.
