14.4 Past Perfect Continuous

         รูปคำกริยา  had been + V ing

         past perfect continuous ใช้สำหรับเหตุการณ์ในอดีตที่ดำเนินอยู่ช่วงใดช่วงหนึ่ง ก่อนอีกเหตุการณ์หนึ่ง

จะเกิดขึ้นหรือมีผลสืบเนื่องมาถึงอีกเหตุการณ์หนึ่ง เน้นที่ระยะเวลาหรือความต่อเนื่องของเหตุการณ์
                This morning, I woke up very tired. It had been raining all night; all the frogs had been making loud noises. I couldn’t sleep.

 

                Nid was tired because she had been cooking all day.
