15.2 Future Continuous
รูปคำกริยาคือ will + be + V ing
ใช้กล่าวถึงเหตุการณ์ที่กำลังดำเนินอยู่ ณ เวลาใดเวลาหนึ่งในอนาคต
At 1.00 a.m. tomorrow, I’ll be flying to London.
Next month, they’ll be showing the program on talking birds.
I’ll be taking the dog for a walk tonight.
By the time I get to Phoenix, she’ll be rising.
Next week, we’ll be looking at life in the Amazon.
ความแตกต่างในการใช้คำกริยารูป future simple กับ future continuous
- เมื่อใช้คำกริยา will + V base form จะมีความหมายที่แสดงถึงความตั้งใจด้วย
ส่วน will + be + V ing จะเน้นว่า ณ เวลาที่แน่นอนในอนาคตจะมีเหตุการณ์เกิดขึ้น
ไม่ได้เน้นถึงความตั้งใจของผู้พูด
Next April I will be teaching here. บอกว่าเดือนเมษายนหน้าจะมาสอนที่นี่
Next April I will teach here. บอกว่าเดือนเมษายนหน้าตั้งใจจะมาสอนที่นี่ (เน้นว่าตั้งใจมา)
- will + be + V ing ยังใช้กับการถามหรือเป็นการขอร้อง การถามเกี่ยวกับความตั้งใจของผู้อื่น
โดยไม่เป็นการมีอิทธิพลต่อการตัดสินใจของผู้นั้น

Will you be traveling this summer?
