1)  รูปกริยา จะอยู่ในรูปที่ไม่ผัน (V base form) เมื่อประธานคือ I, we, you, they

2)  รูปกริยา ต้องเติม -s เมื่อประธานเป็นเอกพจน์บุรุษที่ 3 (he, she, it)

     The car runs fast.
     The sun rises in the east and it sets in the west.

     เติม -es ท้ายคำกริยาใด ๆ ที่ลงท้ายด้วย s, ch, x หรือ o
     To get to the university, the student catches the train at 6.00 every morning.
     The MRT passes the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center.   Get off there.
     During the semester break, my advisee usually goes back to her hometown in Korat.

     เติม -ies ท้ายคำกริยาใด ๆ ที่ลงท้ายด้วย  y โดยการเปลี่ยน y  เป็น  i  ก่อน
     แล้วจึงเติม -es เช่น specify, rely, simplify, satisfy
     DD Company specifies the salary for a secretary at 18,000 baht a month.
     Thailand relies on agriculture.
     The teacher usually simplifies the course book so that students can understand it.
     The quality of shrimps satisfies the US importers.

     ยกเว้น  ถ้าข้างหน้า  y  มีสระ  a, e, o, u  เช่น  pay, pray, buy, employ  ให้เติม  -s  ได้เลย
โดยไม่ต้องเปลี่ยนรูป
     The customer pays at the cashier.
     My son prays before going to bed.
     Mom buys fresh food from the weekend market near our house.
