13.4 Present Perfect Continuous
รูปคำกริยาคือ has/have been + V ing ถ้อยคำสำนวนบอกเวลา เช่น
- recently - just
- already - since
- yet - for เป็นต้น
13.4.1 ใช้กับเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำที่เกิดขึ้นและยังดำเนินต่อมาหรือมีผลสืบเนื่อง
ถึงปัจจุบันเน้นที่ช่วงระยะเวลาที่ดำเนินอยู่
I have been waiting for you since 9:00 o’clock! Now it’s 2 in the afternoon.
ฉันรอเธอตั้งแต่เก้าโมง ตอนนี้เป็นเวลาบ่ายสองโมงแล้ว
(เน้นที่ระยะเวลาการรอ เพื่อจะบอกผู้ฟังว่าผู้พูดรู้สึกว่านานมาก)
13.4.2 ใช้เน้นผลในปัจจุบันหรือเน้นความต่อเนื่องของเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำ
ตัวอย่างประโยคต่อไปนี้แสดงจุดเน้นที่ต่างกัน present perfect
เน้นที่ผลของเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำ ส่วน present perfect continuous
เน้นที่ความต่อเนื่องของเหตุการณ์หรือการกระทำ
