STOU Joined AAOU2018 in Vietnam

On 24 – 26 October 2018, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) administrators led by Associate Professor Dr. Krisana Rungrojwanich, Acting Vice-President for Research, Innovation and International Affairs, together with 9 STOU administrators and staff attended the 32nd Annual Conference of the Asian Association of Open Universities (AAOU2018) under the theme “Open Education in Human Resource Development in Asia's Period of Integration”, hosted by Hanoi Open University (HOU) in Melia Hotel, Hanoi, Vietnam.
The AAOU conference focused on the following topics: Human Resource Development in Open Universities; Open Education in Technical, Vocational, and Skills Development; Open Education Practices in Foreign Languages and Academic Disciplines; New Technologies in Open Education. The conference also provided a forum for participants to discuss and analyze new approaches and technologies in open-training as well as assert the role of open-education in the development of human resources in Asia and around the world. Moreover, the conference was attended by 38 open-training organizations from 17 countries from around the world.
In addition, Associate Professor Dr. Krisana Rungrojwanich, Acting Vice-President for Research, Innovation and International Affairs, and Assistant Professor Dr. Bhawat Chiamjinnawat, Acting Assistant to the President had an opportunity to meet with Professor Mohammad Reza Zamani, the new President of Payame Noor University of Iran. The group discussed the possible collaboration and Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
