Student Cultural Exchange Program between STOU and KNOU

    On 17 – 22 February 2019, Associate Professor Dr. Thapanat Prom-In, Acting Vice-President for Academic Services and Community Engagement, led a group of administrators, staff, and students on a visit to Korea National Open University (KNOU) for a student cultural exchange program. The purpose of the program is to provide opportunities for staff and students to
    gain professional experiences, knowledge and language skills, to increase mutual understanding about different open education systems and to strengthen ties between two Universities.

    The program included learning about KNOU distance learning system, Korean culture, tradition, etiquette, and basic Korean language. STOU and KNOU students had an opportunity to demonstrated their abilities and exchange their traditional dances, costumes, arts and music. Moreover, STOU delegates visited KNOU Seoul Regional Campus. In addition, they expand
    the academic knowledge as well as to provide Korean culture experience outside of the classroom by going on field trips around Seoul, where our staff and students were able to enjoy local culture and tradition at Namsangol Traditional Korean Village & Bukchon, Jogyesa Temple, and Gyeongbokgung Palace.
