STOU-PUP OUS 3^rd Joint Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium

On 22 July 2020, Professor Dr. Prasart Suebka, STOU Acting President, presided over the opening ceremony of the STOU – PUP OUS 3^rd Joint Multidisciplinary Research Colloquium. The event was organized by the Ph.D. Information Science program, School of Liberal Arts, Sukhothai Thammathirat Open University (STOU) in cooperation with Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Open University System (PUP-OUS) led by Professor Carmencita Castolo, Executive Director of the PUP-OUS.

The consecutive colloquium intended to serve as a platform for lecturers, researchers, and graduate students to exchange knowledge and gain insights, as well as a forum for them to build an academic and research network, which could in turn lead to further research collaboration between the two institutions. This year colloquium is organized virtually due to the COVID-19 related global lockdown.

The event was joined by 83 people from both institutions. Prof. Dr. Boontip Siritarungsri from STOU School of Nursing joined and delivered a keynote speech. There are five presentations made by the students of STOU and six by the students of PUP-OUS. The opportunity to deliver presentations in front of international audiences was given to the students not only to enrich their experience in research and presentation, but also for their digital upskill.
